Whole Wheat Butter Biscuits

Posted on Monday 8 January 2007

Whole Wheat Butter Biscuits are like a tea biscuit with no lard.

2 cups of whole wheat
2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
2 Tbs sugar
1 Tbs parmesan
1/2 cup chilled butter
1/2 c milk (depending on humidity, more)

Soft together dry. Cut in butter to make oatmeal consistancy.
Add milk to make a light dough that comes away from the sides of the bowl.
Turn onto floured surface, knead lightly for a few seconds. Roll to 1/2″ Cut.
Bake at 425 degrees for 12-15 minutes.
