Baguette, blackberry jam, cherry jam and fig preserves, old cheddar and two cold salads:
1) cucumber with green onions, dill, mayo and yogurt
2) cous cous with garlic, olive oil, red bell pepper, fresh mint, basil, baby spinach, pine nuts, cucumber, black pepper, lemon juice and the old style prepared mustard (with whole mustard seeds).
Setting is the scene for the picnic:
From the grassy hills of Champlain Lookout one sees the river and shore of Quebec.
