picnicking

Taking it to a picnic table in a park is a perk of a simple meal, but enough food to feed an army: A loaf of bread from the bakery, some honey, a peach, some drinks, some pistachios, some gherkins, a tomato and brick of cheese, a dill dip from the store, some pita chips, a home made dip (recipe below), celery and half a dozen condiments (out of scene).

Wild Rice Dip:
1 cup of pecan, soaked an hour
1 1/2 cup carrots
1 red bell pepper
1/2 cup onion
1/2 cup cilantro
1/2 cup basil
1/2 cup of brown rice, cooked
1/2 cup wild rice, cooked
1/2 lemon
2 tsp curry powder
1 tsp coriander powder
1/4 tsp cayenne

Put in the food processor, puree. (It is modified to the recipe’s loss I think from the raw vegan recipe of Wild Rice Pecan Loaf. Haven’t tried to original to be sure tho.)
