Ethiopian Injera

ethiopian
The bread from the local middle eastern store – for the injera, couple kinds of lentils, one in dal Makhani, one in berbere, a hot sauce (based on tomatoes, onion, chilies, whole garam masala mix) and a cool dish of kale (steamed with cabbage and onion). Here’s a video on the cuisine, just a slideshow of images with traditional music.

    Drool.

It is times like this when I want to move back to a real city. There is NO Ethiopian food anywhere to be found.

My friend in college once made injera and it was a bit of an ordeal. I imagine it’s not too hard once you get used to the recipe, but it certainly takes some work.

I tried to watch the video, but I cannot take it anymore. This is more encouragement to make it back to Montreal or Ottawa.
