African Peanut Soup

African peanut soup made by a friend without the chicken, brown rice or orzo works.

sunfoods patty (portabello mushroom, mung beans and brown rice), with cheese and rhubarb chutney on rye, and behind that a bean salad with kidney beans, chickpeas, sesame seeds, carrot, parsley and olive oil and lemon juice

China Town cake and pastry shop makes a hazelnut-coconut pastry cakey-thing.

..with friends…Jan made a phenomenal supper…

Mixed greens, nuts, blueberries and avocado in raspberry vinaigrette.

Roasted veggies.

Lentil casserole.

and a chocolate mousse caramel layer cake.

Forest Goodness

Dessert breaks theme since apricots don’t grow here and local blueberries aren’t around yet…apricots and blueberries on yogurt over ginger cookies

Walking Taco

Bannock (fry bread) chunks layered with bean chili, lettuce, cheese, tomato and sour cream was part of the Odawa Pow wow food fare. (That food vendor will be at Westfest too.)
