Church-lady-style Luncheon

pinwheel sandwiches
Pinwheel sandwiches. It’s been years since I saw this food. Probably granddad’s wake was the last time. I suppose I could go to church bazaar sale teas to see the like.

church-style squares
Squares: chocolate, date squares, pink, berry, lemon, caramel-marshmallow and one other kind of bar, all the sort in Jean Pare’s Company’s Coming cookbook.

sandwich tray
Pinwheel squares from the fancy colored loaf cut lengthwise and spread with
- peanut butter, rolling around a banana
- cheese whiz rolling around gherkin pickles
- cream cheese around maraschino cherries
- salmon cream cheese around olives

And crustless egg salad sandwiches and other triangles of goodness.
