Bread, Olive Oil and Balsamic Vinegar

The basics for simple satisfying. The balsamic vinegar is 5 years in cask and apparently, yes, you do get what you pay for with it. Much better, mellow and complex flavour, than year old. That homemade rye bread with some good greenhouse tomatoes and cucumbers.

Fabulous writers. Great panel. (Paula Butturini, Tom Jokinen, Amir Gutfreund and Susan Juby, hosted by David Dollin) Beautiful food and ambiance. Over 100 people. Writers Festival held a books and brunch at the Lord Elgin Hotel Yesterday. Two more days of festival remains.
