Pickles, jello, salad, roast.

A tofurkey (i.e. tofu turkey simulation) stuffed roast with a citrus-mustard glaze. Queue: too many cooks spoil the stew.

While it was in the oven, hub and I went for a walk, saying we’d be back to attend to it, but mom decided to start things. So much for us making the meal. The carrots I wanted to do a citrus glaze for got boiled to mushy. The asparagus got boiled to bitter. The dry roasted roast and parsnips, potatoes and onions got a cup of water added and turned them to mush. Great Sigh Heaved. Mom was apologetic. Brian was graceful. I was bummed.
