Nut Burger

The burger patty was one of the pre-made ones from ground nuts and seeds. It is one toasted whole wheat bun topped with saurkraut in a ring of onion, tomatoes and cheddar On the side baked pototo and string beans.

Savory Pancakes

Savory pancakes with
- as much thyme as you’ve got
- shelled hemp seed
- small cubes of medium cheddar
- 1 1/2 tsp baking powder,
1/2 Tbs sugar
- sprinkle of salt
- 1 1/2 cup unbleached flour.

This mixed with the wet:
- 2 beaten eggs,
- 3 Tbs melted butter and
- a cup of skim milk

Cheese-Herb Naan and Uduk Cous Cous

Using what cheese there was about, a bit of brie, a bit of havarti, a bit of cheddar grilled with rosemary and thyme. Beside that lot, corn and some cous cous cooked with uduk (Indonesian?) spice mix that had coconut milk, candlenut, lemon grass, galangale, ginger and unspecified spices.

Refrigerator Crescent Rolls

The dough can be made up to 3 days ahead so it’s handy. There’s only 2 of us so the yield is for 16 crescent rolls.
1 cup water
1 package yeast
25 ml sugar (just under 2 tbs)

Sweet Rolls Dough

1/2 cup warm water
1 tsp sugar
1 pakcage dry yeast
150 ml milk
50 ml sugar
1 tsp salt
50 ml butter
1 egg
1/4 cup quinoa flour
3 to 4 cups wheat flour
Put yeast in bowl with warm water and a teaspoon of sugar.
Let stand 10 minutes
Heat milk, sugar, salt and butter until warm.

Breakfast: Grilled pizza-like thingee. Dense whole wheat and sesame “crust” topped with zucchini, basil, olives, onion, tomato sauce, feta and parmesan.
