I’m no biologist nor criminologist but this was found in the garden, rolled off the step with bite marks. I suspect… squirrels! Perhaps even en masse, a pack of their little scrawny shoulders united in cooperation to roll their treasure behind the shed to furtively gnaw but dawn, dawn is a watchman with a seemingly random patrol, arriving to surprise those deep in concentration.
