Driving the 7
Along highway 7 we entered the wilds of Canada where calendars are born.

You can drive for an hour and still be on the edge of nowhere. Yet wherever there’s an ipod, you’re still in Vinyl Cafe country.
We stopped in Marmora, where people leave the restaurant saying, see ya tomorrow. Guys arrived in in snowsuits and helmets and 3 snowmobiles were parked in the lot with the trucks. Other trucks went by with skidoos in the back and dogs in the front.

Maybe he picked up the rod as a gift. But I prefer to think this guy was going fishing by foot.
Love the name of the dog groomers:

It’s a cute main street. There’s a place that sells gems from Bancroft only a few miles away. Its Gemboree is the largest gem and mineral show in the country. I’ve been meaning to get out to that for, oh, about 25 months of July now. Life sure runs the cogs quickly.

All the best Pearl! I want snow like that over here in UK!!! Merry Christmas!
My little 3 year old nephew exclaims “Oh my gracious!” I think those first calendar shots needed an “Oh My Gracious!!!” How lovely!
Pearl I do hope you and yours have the most wonderful holiday. May you have the peace, comfort and joy that all of us are craving during this time.
